097/365: My Birthday Is...

That's right! I can now say when my birthday is in Japanese! Wheeeee!

We had our second Japanese class tonight and it was awesome. We learned how to count, say our months and days, and even learned our particles. Now the problem is going to be retaining all of this fantabulous new information...

096/365: Homecoming

After spending Sunday and Monday with Dave, I love coming home to my doggie! She waits for me by the window and jumps all over me as soon as I walk through the door! Here we are together, mommy and Stitches.

095/365: Stormy Night

It was such a beautiful day... until about 8 PM when the storm clouds rolled in. And what a fantabulous storm it was!! It didn't last long, but it sure was fierce. Just check out those pre-storm clouds!

094/365: Massage Day

I *finally* used my birthday present from my parents today- a gift card to Rizzieri's for a massage! It was heavenly! I just wish it was a little bit longer...

093/365: Vending Machine

I went out tonight after pole class to Stokes. I haven't been in a few months... and lo and behold... I found this groovy lil vending machine there! Chips, crackers, gum, cigarettes, lighters... Oh my!!!

092/365: Wine

That's right. It's been one of those kind of days. Do I really need to say any more?

091/365: Lost Marathon

Dave and I are now hooked on Lost. I had watched the first 2 1/2 seasons... but it's been like 2 years since I've watched an episode. We're now watching Season 1 together and we are ADDICTED! I can't wait til Saturday so we can sit down and watch some more...

090/365: Katakana

I decided to have an Introduction to the Japanese Language program for my teens at the library. It's a 4 part series and we had our first meeting tonight. It was AMAZING!

Our instructor, Matt, explained to us the difference between Katakana and Hiragana. We learned how to write some of the characters... and then we practiced writing our names in Katakana. Apparently "Christen" turns into "Kurisuten". Very very cool!

089/365: Monmouth University

I went to the Monmouth University's library for an Emerging Leader's meeting today. The library was absolutely beautiful! I took several pictures... but this one was my favorite!

088/365: Bacon!

Dave's roommate dropped a piece of bacon off of his pizza and onto the floor... so Dave and I decided to take pictures of it! Voila!

087/365: DD

It might still feel like Friday (cause I haven't gone to bed yet)... but that is 1:38 AM on my dashboard clock!

Dave went to his brother's birthday party tonight (boys night in with poke, beer, and cigars) and he asked me to be his DD so he could drink. So here I am, driving to his brother's to pick him up and take him home. Am I good girlfriend, or what?

086/365: Express Yourself

I just got back from a program at the Cherry Hill Public Library. The program was all about providing Summer Reading programs to teens at your local library. Our theme this year is "Express Yourself". I left the program with several programming ideas, as well as some great crafts (yay for paper bag scrapbooks!) to try out with my teens!

I took a picture of this ipod because I want to make one to hang in my teen section to encourage teens to Express Themselves by writing in their Summer 2009 soundtrack!

085/365: Fringe at Work

Tonight I discovered that I could get Hulu to work on my work computer... so I watched Fringe (squeeeeeeeee!!!123)!

Because we were so busy, it took me three hours to watch one episode, but it was a great way to help kill the time! Plus, I'm no longer quite so behind in Fringe!!

084/365: Pie

I had off from work today, so I went to Dave's around 5 to hang out with him and his son. We decided to go to Pizza Hut for dinner... but the restaurant was no longer there. We ended up driving to Acme instead and picked up meatballs (for spaghetti) and pumpkin pie!

The pasta was good... but the pie (and whip cream) was SUPERB!!!!

083/365: Frogs!

Dave and I had a "date night" tonight! Wheeeee! He took me to Lotus for dinner and then we walked around a shopping center by his house. We visited Barnes & Noble (thank you again for my new book, babe!), looked at cats at Petsmart, and did a walk through at Kitchen Kapers. That's where I took this picture of the frogs.

My mom used to have one sort of like this. It had belonged to her Aunt Lori and looking at these frogs reminded me of it. Soooo... I had to take a picture!

082/365 Staff Achievement

I recently earned my very first Staff Achievement Award at the library for my work in winning the A+ Teen Space grant that will help us build a teen space at the library! When I got home from Loft tonight, I found a package for me in the mail. It included a letter congratulating me on my Staff Achievement Award, the actual award, and a $10 gift card to Target! What an awesome surprise!

081/365: Mom's Birthday

OMG! My mother is 50!!! How did that happen?! She's the hottest 50 year old I know though! (And trust me, I speak the truth!)

I took my mom out yesterday to Loft for some birthday shopping! I bought her a new pair of pants, a light pink sweater, and black cami with a matching black boyfriend cardigan, a pair of black sandals, and a pink and silver necklace. I probably had more fun than her, but she really loved the new clothes!

Today is her actual birthday, so we went out to Joe Itlianio's (aka Esposito's/aka Maplewood V) to celebrate! Mmmmmm! Mmmmmm! My tummy was in heaven! This is a picture of her birthday crème brûlée!

Happy Birthday, mom!! I love you!

080/365: The New Door

Here's my brother, Anthony, installing a new sliding glass door for my boyfriend, Dave! I was impressed watching Ant work that I decided to take some pictures. This one was my absolute favorite!!!

079/365: Full Fridge

Look at this fridge! Ridiculous! All I wanted was some diet iced tea... but I couldn't even find it because the fridge was so full!

Both my roommates and I decided to go shopping today and it has overflowed the refrigerator with yumminess! Sadly, it probably won't stay full for long. I'm hungry...

078/365: Tastefully Sinful

Nom! Nom! Nom! Abbie had a Tastefully Simple party tonight. Although I had to work at the library til 9, I still managed to make it over her house to see some of my wonderful friends... and eat some of the amazing Tastefully Simple food! It was AMAZING!

077/365: Pink Shoes

You know what the best part about pole dancing is? (Well, after the hanging upside down thing...) It's definitely the shoes!

Here are Lauren's (aka Pinki) fantabulously pink pole shoes! I love them! LOVE!

076/365: The Futon

My girlfriend, Abbie, gave her old couch to Dave last week because she and her husband got a new one. Dave moved his "new" couch into his living room, next to his love seat... and tried to decide where to put his roommate's futon (which they had been using as a couch).

Well, it would seem that the futon ended up in the kitchen. Not exactly the first place I would think of to put a futon... but hey! It works! Now there's a spot to sit and chill while watching someone slave away at the hot stove. I think it's brilliant!

075/365: Killing time...

I worked at Loft tonight and I decided to take some pictures while I was waiting for my manager, Rita, to finish up in the office. However, it turns out she wasn't in the office and she was waiting for me in the front of the store. Whoops!

074/365: Tatts!

Look what happens when you give me temporary tattoos!!!! I'm out of control! Haha! BUT... my boyfriend, Dave, does rock, so I find this temporary tattoo totally acceptable! He took me to Friendly's yesterday to cheer me up! Then today he made me tacos for dinner and took me to see Watchmen! Oh... and he snuggled with me on the couch although I'm super warm and I overheat him!!! Thanks Dave! =)

073/365: John Ritchie

I went to my friend and coworker's services today. It was so unbelievably sad. John was a really great guy and he's going to be missed by so many people. I still can't believe he's gone though. The breakroom at the library just isn't the same anymore...

072/365: A Clean Jeff

My dad took Jeff (aka my Yaris) out this morning for a car wash while I was getting ready for work!! This was Jeff's first car wash EVER! Doesn't he look handsome?? (And doesn't my dad ROCK?!)

071/365: The Dream

I have a dream... It involves beaches, swim up bars, lots of eating, Mayan ruins, and total relaxation.

I decided this year that part of my New Year's Resolution would be to get my debt under control. My friend, Michelle, told me that if I wanted to stay motivated I would need to think of some kind of reward for myself so that I can treat myself when the debt is all paid. Well... meet "The Reward"!

I'm hoping to be all paid up by 2010... and then as soon as that's done I'm hitting a tropical destination. I'm thinking the Riviera Maya... At the Adventura Palace or Secrets Capri Riviera Cancun... I know I have a long way to go until I'm ready to plan this trip for real... but it sure is fun just pretending at the moment...

070/365: Sexy Hair

Wednesday night is Wegman's Night with Dave! Today I saw this fantabulous hair product and I just had to take a picture! Nothing SCREAMS Jersey like "Big Sexy Hair"!!!!

069/365: "The Couch Party"

A friend and coworker died today. It's been so hard at work. Everyone is sad, confused, hurting...

My girlfriend, Abbie, and her husband just got a new couch and she (very generously) gave their old one to my boyfriend. As much as I wanted to leave work and go home to cry, Abbie asked me if we would want to come to pick up her old couch today... which turned into the impromptu "Couch Party"! I spent the night with my girlfriend Abbie, her husband Mike, my friend Regina (and unborn baby William), my brother Anthony, Dave.... and Dave the dog! It was such a wonderful night and just what I needed to put a smile on my face.

Thanks everyone for a wonderful Couch Party!!!

068/365: The "Boyfriend Shirt"

Okay ladies... admit it! You all know you like to wear your significant other's clothing on occasion! Well, this is my "boyfriend shirt"! It mysteriously ended up at my house (I swear!) and now I wear it whenever I miss Dave.

I had a Snow Day from the library today... but the mall was still open so I had to go to my part time job (making me miss my dad's 50th birthday dinner). So although I spent a nice chunk of the day (and okay the rest of the weekend, too) with Dave, I'm lame and I already miss him... hence the "boyfriend shirt"!

067/365: The Pan

Meet... "the pan"! My boyfriend's roommate used it Friday... and it sat in the sink til I washed it tonight... and then he used it again... and left it back in the sink. Now, whenever one of us walks by the sink, we curse at the pan.

"Stupid dirty pan!"
