104/365: Eva's

My girlfriend, Eva, is helping me get a birthday present for my boyfriend. This morning I drove to Eva's to do the "exchange". She left the tickets I requested in a ziplock bag... in a tupperware container... in a planter on her porch. I took the tickets and replaced them with cold hard cash! =)

Before I left Eva's house to go to work, I decided to take a few pictures. This picture was taken from her driveway. That's right... the railroad tracks run through her driveway. Craziness, right? But it makes for one heck of a view!

103/365: Daffodil

It's finally starting to feel like spring! The flowers are blooming in my mom's garden (please notice the lovely daffodil) and I started trying on sundresses tonight! Now all I need is for this wind to go away and the temperature to raise another 20 degrees and life will be perfect...

102/365: Roof

That's my parents' roof... and that's my lil brother on it! Eeeks!

Don't worry though, folks! He is a professional! Really. I swear.

My parents are paying my brother to put a new roof on the house for them and he started working on it today. I think it's so cool watching him work. I'm not exactly scared of heights... but there's no way I could climb around the roof without some kind of harness or safety net! No way, Jose!

I'll have to take a picture of the finished project, but as of right now the roof is looking pretty darn great!

Dave's birthday is Sunday the 12th... so to celebrate I decided that we would have...drum roll please... The 7 Days of Dave!!! It's 1 am and I just finished wrapping 5 of the 7 gifts he'll be getting over the next week. Day 1 begins on Monday, April 6th!

I hope you're excited, babes!

100/365: Rainbow

I met up with my boss and branch manager this morning to talk about the envelope incident from last night. I think we might have figured out how to handle the situation... and the guy (who did come into the library today) did not bother me. I have my fingers crossed that he won't be bothering me again any time soon.

I left work to head out to Nifty Fifties to meet up with girlfriends, Regina and Nicole and as I was driving I saw a rainbow in the horizon. I decided that I was going to take this rainbow as a good omen. No more crazies for me! Only good things to come in my future!

099/365: The Letter

There's this guy that has been coming in to the library and talking to me every day that I've been in for the last week. Tonight he came up to the children's desk (where I was working), gave me this envelope and walked away. Inside was a note asking me if I wanted to go out to dinner, a clipping of two restaurant reviews, and his business card.

I feel so sick now. I'm sure it's totally harmless, but I'm freaked out nonetheless. If he had just asked me out to my face... as awkward as that would have been... I could have said, "I'm sorry, but no. I'm dating someone and I'm not interested." Instead I now have to wait for him to come back into the library or find another way to tell this guy I'm not interested.

I was so freaked out that Dave drove over to the library to walk me to my car. He's my hero tonight! I don't think he knows how grateful I am for that right now...
